Independent landscape designer based in Cape Town.
With a background in the Arts and a passion for nature’s beauty, I discovered my purpose in designing natural landscapes. I am a multifaceted ambitious landscape designer with a love of gardens and their interaction with the built environment.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts, with my major in Visual Arts from Stellenbosch University in 2013 and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship at UCT with distinction in 2014. I gained experience in the UK while studying part-time at the London School of Garden Design. I moved home to beautiful Cape Town to service the gap in professional Garden Design, working with industry expert, Carrie Latimer. I have been successfully running my own business now since 2018.
I take great care in understanding how we interact with the spaces around us, and I strive to create gardens that bring a sense of joy to those who spend time in them.

With a focus on reducing water consumption and creating a more interesting and diverse garden space, we converted a boring sloping lawn into a beautiful Mediterranean dry garden with olive trees, grey foliage planting, a raised deck entertainment platform with feature curved bench, fire boma and outdoor cinema. The old, cheap cement pavers were replaced with beautiful sandstone paving that will get more beautiful with age. Clusters of authentic terracotta pots with citrus trees and lavender. The side garden is converted into a kids woodland play area with custom built swings, crows nests, wendy houses and suspended walkways. Overall this is a timeless garden with incredible style.

An old family home nestled in Newlands, Cape Town, rebuilt to accommodate a growing family & dreams of a cosy farmhouse style home as seen in the Franschhoek winelands. Materials like klompie paving, rounded low werf walls, Worcester gravel, riverstone and limestone paving. We relocated the pool and levelled off the garden for a new spacious outdoor area.
